Want kids, just not right now?
Most people only learn about their fertility once they're already trying. You can find out in time.
Get clarity ›“I'm fairly sure I want children in the future. But what if I wait too long..? And how can I give myself the best conditions for the future already now?”
Plan ahead with more clarity and more options.
Maybe you want children further down the line and want to understand where you stand already. Or you simply want to stop wondering and feel more prepared for the future. The problem is that today's system isn't built for the woman who wants answers about her fertility before she's actually started trying.
Less uncertainty. More peace of mind.
Understand what can be important to know in time, so you have more options ahead.

Meet Elin
“My partner and I aren't quite ready yet, but I still want to stay on top of things in the meantime. After I came off the pill it took a while before my period came back, and it feels good to now know that my ovulation works as it should and to have a handle on my egg reserve so I can prepare for the future.”

Frequently asked questions
Is Maybe Baby's home test reliable?
Yes, very. Our sampling method is validated by an independent hospital lab where capillary blood (the small finger-prick) was compared with traditional venous blood tests (taken from the arm) on 60-125 people per hormone.
The results show a correlation of 0.85-0.98 for the most important fertility and sex hormones, which in practice means the sample you take at home gives results comparable to traditional blood tests taken in healthcare.
Your samples are analyzed by ISO 15189-accredited laboratories (accredited via COFRAC) used by doctors and fertility specialists, following the same quality standards used in healthcare for clinical assessment.
Who is Maybe Baby's test for?
Maybe Baby's test is for anyone who wants to understand their fertility better - whether you're curious, planning for the future or just want a better handle on your hormones and your health.
Should you test your fertility if you're not planning children soon?
It's often the best time, actually. The results can be very valuable when you're not under time pressure - they can give a clearer picture of how your body works, and if something stands out there's time to understand and act. As we like to say: the more you know today, the more choices you have tomorrow.
Which test suits me, Egg Check or Complete?
Maybe Baby Egg Check (AMH Test) analyzes just one hormone - AMH - and gives you an indication of your egg quantity.
Maybe Baby Complete (Fertility test) analyzes 12 markers and gives you a complete picture of your hormone profile, including thyroid health, signs of PMOS and more.
In short:
Maybe Baby Egg Check = A quick check of your egg reserve
Maybe Baby Complete = Full hormonal insight
Can I test if I use hormonal contraception?
Yes, absolutely! You can take the test even if you use a hormonal IUD, the pill or other hormonal contraception.
Once you've ordered your test you answer a number of questions about your health and any contraception. That information helps us adapt the analysis so you get as relevant and accurate a report as possible.
AMH Test (Maybe Baby Egg Check): AMH can be tested reliably even if you're on hormonal contraception.
Fertility test (Maybe Baby Complete): Hormonal contraception affects the body's own hormone production, so we exclude three specific hormones that could otherwise give misleading results (FSH, LH and prolactin). But you still get answers on 9 of 12 biomarkers that are important for understanding your body and fertility better.
Read more about the markers in your test →Which day in my cycle should I test?
The best time to take your home test is on day 3 of your cycle (day 1 is the first day you bleed). Then your hormones are at their baseline and the results are most reliable. Days 2-5 also work, but day 3 is optimal.
We recommend waiting until your period arrives to get the most out of the test. If your cycle is longer than 45 days you can test any time - the answers can then help identify what's causing the irregularity, so you get the information you deserve sooner.
You can take the test any time. With hormonal contraception we don't test LH, FSH and prolactin (since they're affected by the contraceptive and would give misleading results), but AMH and the other markers can still be analyzed.

Whether you're thinking about having children now, later or maybe not at all, the Maybe Baby home test can give you valuable information about your body and your health. It can be especially helpful if you suspect a hormonal imbalance, have thyroid issues or PMOS - or if you simply want to understand how your hormones affect you and feel more confident about your choices and your future.
What does it mean if something stands out in my results?
It doesn't automatically mean something is wrong, or that you'll have trouble getting pregnant. Some values can sit outside the reference range without affecting fertility, while others may be worth following up.
That's why you don't just get numbers, but a personal report that helps you understand what the results mean for you. If you want to go further, you can also book a digital consultation with a fertility doctor as an add-on.

Which markers do you test?
With Maybe Baby Egg Check we analyze AMH - a biomarker that reflects your egg reserve.
With Maybe Baby Complete you get a broader picture with 12 markers covering egg reserve, ovulation, androgens and hormone balance, thyroid and energy.
See all 12 markers in your test →Can Maybe Baby's test be compared to a fertility investigation?
Since a clinical fertility investigation can include several parts - such as blood tests, sperm tests and ultrasound - our test doesn't replace one. The Maybe Baby home test measures the hormones that are usually the first step in such an investigation.
You get a handle on your hormones at home, at your own pace. And if you want to go further the option is there - both digitally and in person. Via our selected partner clinics you can add, for example, an ultrasound for a complete medical assessment.
