Why is ferritin important to check?
Ferritin is your body's way of storing iron. Low ferritin is one of the most common causes of fatigue in women, especially if you have heavy periods. Iron deficiency can also affect hair, skin, and your ability to get pregnant - but it's often discovered late because symptoms creep up gradually.

“So happy! The test was super easy to order, and the finger prick was barely noticeable. The report was clear and easy to understand, and customer service replied right away when I had a question. Felt safe all the way 💜”
“Fast and easy! It gave me peace of mind when my period took a little while to come back after stopping the pill. I got such lovely, quick responses whenever I had questions, and help when I'd accidentally sent my test back the wrong way 🤭 really recommend it!”
“Super easy test that gave clear results and put my worries to rest even though I'm not trying to get pregnant right now.”
“Strongly recommend doing this if you're curious about your fertility. It's about so much more than just checking your egg reserve. The full picture is so important, and this test gives you everything you need to know where you stand if you want to have children. For me personally, it's been extremely positive for my health, because thanks to the test I found out I need to sort out my thyroid to feel better and be able to have a healthy pregnancy in the future. Thank you for your wonderful customer support.”
What will you learn?
Your egg reserve
Your eggs, also known as "ovarian reserve" - whether you have more or fewer eggs than average for your age.
Your thyroid
Your thyroid levels. The thyroid can affect your mood, skin, weight, energy and ovulation.
Warning flags
Whether there are signs of hormonal imbalance that may affect your fertility.
Menopause
Your AMH levels can indicate whether you may enter menopause earlier or later than average.
Iron Status
Ferritin — Ferritin
Think of ferritin as your body's iron warehouse - it shows how much iron you have stored in your body, ready to be used when you need it.
What does it do?
Ferritin is a protein that stores iron in your cells. When your body needs iron - for example, to form red blood cells or transport oxygen - iron is released from ferritin. The ferritin level in your blood reflects how large your iron reserves are.
Why does it matter?
Low ferritin can cause fatigue, dizziness, heart palpitations, hair loss, and difficulty concentrating. Women of reproductive age have a higher risk of low ferritin due to menstrual bleeding. Iron deficiency can also affect hormonal health and is a relevant measure for your overall picture.
