What is POI - and why is it important to know?
POI, or premature ovarian insufficiency, means the ovaries lose their function before age 40. Symptoms can include absent or irregular periods, sweating, fatigue, and difficulty getting pregnant. It affects about 1 in 100 women. Testing AMH and FSH can provide important clues about your egg reserve and where you stand hormonally.
